Your Role With Us:

The Clinical Regulatory Specialist RN/BSN is responsible for ensuring compliance with Joint Commission standards and local, state, and federal regulations. Key duties include monitoring and providing feedback to physicians, department leadership, and medical group leaders regarding regulatory requirements, surveys, and accreditation processes. The individual identifies strengths and weaknesses in processes, develops action plans in collaboration with relevant leaders, and maintains systems to ensure continuous readiness for onsite surveys by regulatory bodies like the Joint Commission, CMS, and the Oregon Health Authority.

Additional responsibilities include managing on-site surveys, keeping leadership informed of regulatory updates, facilitating compliance, and creating education programs around standards and processes. The position also involves collaborating with clinical leaders to develop corrective plans, acting as a clinical resource for the regulatory team, and contributing to problem-solving and Lean initiatives to improve compliance and operations.

    Background/Expertise:

    Education:

    1. Requires BSN. Bachelor of Arts in Nursing also accepted. Will consider non-nursing Bachelor's Degree with MSN.
    2. Consideration will be given to internal candidate ADN nurse who agrees to complete BSN within two (2) years of hire into the position or agrees to complete MSN within three (3) years of hire into the position. Must sign agreement regarding BSN or MSN completion. Must obtain BSN within the two (2) years or the MSN within three (3) years to remain in the position.
    3. Master's Degree preferred.

    Experience:

    1. Experience in data collection, analysis, and appropriate display required.
    2. Five (5) years acute clinical experience preferred.
    3. Knowledge and experience in Epic EHR and computer database systems preferred.

    Licenses/Certifications/Registrations:

    1. Registered Nurse with a current license in the State of Oregon required.
