This is a part-time position located in Hershey, Pennsylvania, with work hours being primarily in the summer and the fall. The company will not provide relocation assistance or other employment benefits for this position.

HGCE Station Hosts work in our brand-new, exciting cinematic theater show. The Station Hosts will greet each guest and scan their ticket, hand out samples to guests prior to their entrance onto the station platform, are responsible for staging and seating guests in the HGCE experience theatre, hand out candy to guests upon exit, and clean the areas to maintain ambience. They will assist guests into the station with scanning their tickets and distributing samples, in the pre-show staging area, and with seating in the main show theatre. Hosts will remain in the theatre during the show to maintain guest safety and monitor the show. After the show, hosts will assist guests with exiting the theatre safely and will distribute candy bags to the guests. The Station Host must be able to deliver exceptional customer service and guest interaction while maintaining the integrity and ambience of the HGCE experience.

Summary of major duties:



  • Must demonstrate our Customer Service Pledge
  • Must be approachable, showing that our guests are our priority
  • Must initiate contact with our guests by being courteous and greeting them with a smile
  • Must be willing to listen to our guests and help them with their needs
  • Must provide a genuine Thank You to every guest
  • Scan tickets, distribute samples, seat guests in theatre
  • Maintain cleanliness of the HGCE Areas
  • Maintain HGCE experience ambiance and speak clearly
  • Assist guests into the theater as well as distribute candy bags after show


Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform major duties/responsibilities:



  • Must maintain a neat appearance and meet the uniform standards
  • Must be able to push, pull, lift, and carry 25 pounds
  • Must be able to walk or stand for 5-8 hours Ability to bend, stoop, and twist
  • Pushing wheelchairs may be required
  • Must be able to interact with and speak clearly to a large audience
  • Must be able to clean up station and theater areas (trash, lost and found items, sweeping the floor, cleaning seats, and returning empty sample carts/obtaining filled carts)
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with guests, fellow coworkers, and function effectively as part of a team
  • The position requires a focus on exceptional customer service and expects the individual to be approachable; courteous; knowledgeable about our products; able to clearly communicate with guests and answer any questions that the guests have
  • Must be able to proficiently read, write, and speak English


Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred but not required

Experience: Public speaking experience is preferred but not required
