Intralox, L.L.C., a division of Laitram, L.L.C., and a global provider of conveyance solutions and services, has an opening for a Quality Engineer within the Digital Solutions (DS) team. The DS team is leading Intralox's implementation and evolution of our enterprise business applications and new digital solutions. DS is more than just an IT department - we are business domain experts, software developers, and operational support resources that use technology to bring more value to customers and Intralox.
This member of our Quality Assurance team will lead the testing and quality efforts for the integration of Oracle EBS with multiple tools, especially Microsoft Dynamics. In their capacity as a lead Quality Engineer, this person will coordinate and monitor the work of internal and/or contracted QA resources while generating test plans suitable for automation. As such, the person in this role will enable Intralox's award-winning customer service by ensuring our representatives have easy access to accurate customer and account information.

Responsibilities
  • Analyzing software functional and technical requirements in order to create and maintain test suites that comprehensively assure software quality and coverage of desired functionality.
    • Creating and maintaining detailed, compressive, and well-structured test plans and test cases that cover both functional and non-functional requirements for custom and out-of-the-box software and web-based applications.
    • Consulting with business partners to ensure that provided test plans sufficiently cover use cases with consideration of both happy and error paths.
    • Supplementing or developing test cases as needed to improve or create test plans while documenting these plans for future use and automation.
    • Developing a deep domain knowledge to be able to catch edge cases and regression test change sets beyond published test plans.
    • Developing and maintaining a strong working knowledge of the technical and business areas supported by software solutions.
  • Estimating, prioritizing, planning, and coordinating testing activities within development and QA teams.
    • Communicating any issues uncovered with in-progress work to the developer responsible for implementation.
    • Identifying and documenting any newly discovered defects. Verifying resolutions with developers, business users, and product owners.
    • Creating reports documenting errors and issues uncovered in testing or production use.
    • Collaborating with business partners to coordinate UAT testing of large features.
    • Regression testing artifacts as they move through the deployment pipeline.
  • Guiding development of quality assurance and test standards and processes, including automated approaches.
    • Developing software quality assurance standards and processes for custom-developed and configured software.
    • Creating and maintaining quality metrics to track improvements to core software products, including cloud applications (i.e., Microsoft Dynamics).
    • Conducting reviews of test cases, test plans, test completion reports and other relevant documentation.
    • Leading a team of two or more QA resources, including overseas contractors.
    • Coordinating and assisting automation of test suites with Tricentis Tosca.
Requirements
  • BS or MS in Computer Science or related field.
  • 10 or more years of experience as a quality assurance engineer.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and working in Agile development teams.
  • Experience with test case design, test planning, and execution across various systems and environments (web applications, cloud-based systems, etc.).
  • Proficiency in a programming language commonly used for test automation (e.g., Selenium, C#, or Python).
  • Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to organize, self-manage, follow-through, coordinate, and prioritize.
  • Knowledge of CRM systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics) and ERP systems (e.g., Oracle EBS).
Desired
  • Well-versed in Azure DevOps and CI/CD implementation.
  • Tosca Automation Specialist 1 (AS1) and Automation Specialist 2 (AS2) certification.
  • Hands-on experience working with the Tosca framework, including creation of test case template, module, test design sheet, class, RTB, and library, and use of different types of parameters.
  • Experience supervising the work of offshore contracted resources.
Position is 90% remote, with roughly 2 weeks per year required in an office located in Harahan, LA.
