Mechanical Engineering Specialist, Senior Key Role: Provide engineering review, coordination, and oversight for operations, maintenance, repair, and construction work and oversee and coordinate activities with trade shops, including prioritizing work, reviewing ongoing projects, inspecting installed equipment, and overseeing and coordinating work orders, service orders, and projects. Plan, conduct, and direct projects or major phases of significant projects and coordinate the efforts of engineers and technical support staff. Manage project design or construction efforts, including scheduling, funding, and day-to-day project oversight, manage and evaluate construction contractor performance, integrate and coordinate projects with field personnel, evaluate, validate, and manage project change requests, and provide official weekly project status reports. Assist the client's contracting officer (CO) and contracting officer's technical representative (COTR) with acquisition planning, execution, and administration, assist the CO and COTR with conducting pre-bid and pre-construction site visits with the COTR, provide invoice supporting information to the COTR for payment, and prepare and monitor project schedules and budgets, provide technical guidance and assistance on contracting and construction issues, direct design efforts, recommend construction documents for approval, and oversee any follow-on maintenance programs. Optimize performance, cost, and schedule by ensuring project objectives are achieved on schedule and at the lowest cost compatible with user requirements. Ensure timely input of all data, comments, and documentation into the MAXIMO software project management tool. Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
