LSSI is hiring afull-timeChild Welfare SupervisorMondaythroughFriday from 9am to 5pm.Responsible for the planning, directing and coordination of activities of assigned CCS Programs. May include one or more program sites generally involving multiple service lines.

Essential Functions:
  • Provides individualized training and feedback to staff to enhance their capabilities to perform effectively.
  • Provides direct supervision, training, support, review and evaluation for child welfare specialist and other assigned staff.
  • Collaborates with other management staff in programs and network on programmatic, fiscal, organization and community issues.
  • Compiles reports or data as required by management or government agencies.
  • Performs other related tasks as necessary or as assigned.
Position Qualifications:
In addition to a real passion for working with at-risk children and families, this opportunity requires:
  • Master's Degree in social work or a related field.
  • Supervisory experience and experience with Child Welfare preferred.
  • State licensing/certification as required by the State of Illinois Department of Children and Family Services required.
  • Background check clearance, both criminal and CANTS required.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate in a clear, comprehensible manner, verbally and written.
  • Valid Illinois driver's license required.
  • Proof of automobile liability insurance required.
