We are currently seeking a Project Architect to join the Facilities Business Line and Architectural Practice in our East Brunswick, NJ office. This is an excellent opportunity for the right individual to lead a variety of project types and sizes. The office currently services both public and private sector clients, including but not limited to project types in transportation, higher education, commercial/industrial, pharmaceutical, warehousing, and public works.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Prepares project documents for assigned projects including initial thru final sheet set-up on project drawings, drawing schedules, plans, elevations, sections, details, and specifications.
  • Capable of motivating and managing a small project team of varying staff levels including architects and engineers for a positive completion of more than one project.
  • Responsible for project work during construction including but not limited to submittal tasks, field inspections, RFI's, supplemental work including sketches, or material approval during submittal review process.
  • Formulates and gather code information on projects for review with supervisor.
  • Individual is capable of working proficiently on their own with direction from supervisor.
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Develop presentations, designs, and technical solutions through all phases of a project.
  • Produce conceptual designs and renderings for project and presentation purposes
  • Assist with preparing proposals
  • Assist with marketing and managing clients
  • Perform building surveys and forensic investigations
Education | Experience:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture
  • 8-12 years' related experience required
  • Registered Architect or capable of obtaining within 6-12 months perferred
  • Proficiency in REVIT Building Information Modeling Architecture with experience in both design and construction documentation is required
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, and Adobe Suite
  • Experience with 3D Modeling software such as Sketch Up Pro, Rhino/3D Max or similar is a plus
  • Must be dynamic, creative and detail oriented
  • Working knowledge of current International Building Codes, NFPA, ADA, LEED, and knowledge of related standards such as ANSI, ASTM, ASHRAE etc
  • Must be able to work effectively in team situations and establish strong relationships with other teams where overlap of client project work exists
  • Experience with specification writing/editing
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Capable of communicating and / or presenting concepts and thoughts thru verbal, written, or drawing medium
