JOB SUMMARY
This position primarily supports the treatment technology as well as clinical documentation workflows for both the acute and outpatient care areas in the oncology service line [Hematology, Bone Marrow Transplant, Surgical Oncology, Gynecology Oncology, and Oncology (Breast, Lung, Gastrointestinal). The analyst will also be supporting the growth of the Cancer Centers disease- associated programs [Cancer Prevention, Cancer Outreach, Cancer Research, Tumor Registry, Cancer Survivorship, Tobacco Cessation and Palliative Care]. This position will service clinics in the Simmons Cancer Center, as well as satellite specialty clinics in Fort Worth, Richardson, and Park Cities. It will also provide simultaneous support for procedure areas Radiation Oncology, Stereotactic/GammaKnife Radiation, Apheresis Infusion Center (Chemotherapy) and Weekend Infusion (Chemotherapy).

    Previous exposure to healthcare and/or electronic records is desired but not required.


JOB DUTIES




    • Provide workflow assistance, trouble-shooting and support for mission critical HSIR systems with assistance.
    • Provide on-call after-hours support.
    • Develop and maintain competency on pertinent applications and technologies within a specified timeframe.
    • Participate in system maintenance by utilizing analytical skills for issue resolution, enhancement development, project participation and version upgrades with oversight.
    • Follow change management procedure for any system changes.
    • Assist in testing of new applications and changes to existing applications ensuring integrity and quality of data while providing and/or assisting in training of system users.
    • Assist in developing appropriate process/policy documentation.
    • Manage multiple tasks/work on multiple projects simultaneously with guidance.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.
