LSSI is hiring afull-timePrevention Specialist.Under the general supervision of the program director, supervisor, or designee, provide prevention services to youth and their families in designated communities within agency policy.

Essential Functions:
  • Provide educational curriculum to 7h and 8thgrade students in partnering schools with linkage agreements.
  • Conduct communication campaigns and link youth to needed services.
  • Complete and submit all necessary reports and documentation accurately and on time.
  • Facilitate and/or attend quarterly meetings of coalition.
  • Conduct group presentations with youth ages 11-18.
Position Qualifications:
  • Education and/or professional training in the human services field.
  • One year of experience preferred.
  • Attend all mandatory trainings through DHS.
  • Must be able to transport clients.
  • Demonstrate ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in a clear, comprehensible manner.
  • Valid State of Illinois driver's license and proof of automobile liability insurance.
