Job Description

Department of Neurology at the University of Missouri School of Medicine is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Business Operations Associate II to assist with budgeting, regulatory compliance, and administrative tasks for research initiatives within the Neurology Department.

Job Duties Include:

- Assist with budget support for research staff. This would include building budget templates, leading budget negotiations, and processing budgets through internal systems for study start-up processes.
- If the person has GPC (Good Clinical Practice) training, they can assist with pre-screening.
- Regulatory assistance so keeping track of licenses and expired trainings that physicians will need to do so a clinical trial does not fall off schedule
- Other administrative assistance
- Maintain a running list of grant applications that are soon due for Neurology faculty
- Prepare documentation for grant applications with a variety of different institutions (DoD, NIH, VA, etc)
- Meet with PI of projects that are currently running to stay informed on any big purchases, basically tracking budget
- During application times will need to function essentially as a project manager, a lot of the time PI's can be unresponsive so might need to find them and ensure they are getting documents done on time and according to the required specifications
- Build out clinical trial budget tracking tools to ensure compliance with spending
- Prepare correcting entries specifically for grants/clinical trials on payroll
- Assist faculty with searching for optimal fits for potential future grant applications
- Help faculty with correspondence with the IRB to begin to initiate the research plan and facilitate other regulatory issues.
- Help faculty with planning recruitment utilizing existing clinical infrastructure and databases.
- Help faculty plan for their needs for assistance with their upcoming work.

Shift

Monday - Friday
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $21.28 - $27 hourly
Grade: GGS - 009
