The Position

As we continue to grow QuidelOrtho, we are seeking a Senior Manager, Identity Access Management (IAM) to continue to build a global program focused end-to-end delivery of security services related to the Identity Management solutions, while enforcing QuidelOrtho's security, compliance and quality standards related to system and user access. This resource will be a thought leader and subject matter expert in Identity Access Management and part of QuidelOrtho's global Information Security team, partnering with the firm's leadership across all businesses and locations. This position requires a blend of strategic thinking and operational excellence to deliver identity access management services consistently across the enterprise. This will require an excellent understanding of the business environment, to assist in defining scope and helping to develop business cases and involve liaising with other departments across Ortho. This position ideally is suited to a self-motivated individual, capable of operating with minimal levels of supervision. This position can be based in Raritan, NJ, or San Diego, CA with the option to work remotely in the United States.

The Responsibilities
  • Identify, design, develop & implement solutions to support access authentication, authorization and provisioning while standardizing and streamlining IT security administration processes.

  • Design and implement key IAM components such as Role-Based Access Models (RBAC), entitlement reviews and certification processes.

  • Act as the subject matter expert (SME) on IAM issues. Remain current and advise business on emerging trends that would facilitate greater leverage of technology. Identify solutions to meet business needs and to foster knowledge sharing.

  • Collaborate globally with stakeholders to develop and maintain logical access controls to safeguard QuidelOrtho and customer information.

  • Continue to build and lead the IAM team, who are responsible for assisting with the design of all QuidelOrtho's IAM services, delivering those automated services, managing the quality of those services, developing team skills and fostering a high-performance environment.

  • Manage and evolve the SAP Security & GRC function, ensuring appropriate ERP controls are in place to support audit, compliance and security requirements, aligning with wider IAM & IGA program requirements

  • Provide innovative strategies and information security insight and expertise in assessing new business opportunities and influencing critical decisions.

  • Work closely and collaboratively with teams across QuidelOrtho to identify and remediate security issues.

  • Contribute to the content of the firm's information security policies.

  • Become an expert in business processes, and work with the business to help define and document, requirements to support deployment of new systems as well as enhancements to existing systems.

  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

The Individual

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or relevant field or the equivalent combination of education, and experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities.

  • Minimum of 10 years of global information systems experience with a minimum of 7 years with emphasis on global IAM. Will be responsible for independently making a broad range of critical decisions. Must apply sound judgment, escalating issues and decisions when necessary.

  • Leading critical IAM activities including but not limited to: policy driven security, identity governance, privileged access management, user provisioning/de-provisioning, and federation focusing on multiple protocols, such as OAuth, SAML

  • Building and leading a global IAM program, preferably with medical device or manufacturing experience.

  • Experience leading in a matrix team of professionals and communicating with various levels of management is required. Ability to work with all levels of the organization, both technical and non-technical.

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Proven project management track record in delivering global projects from inception thought to completion.

  • Proven ability to recognize opportunities for change and act as a catalyst for change management.

  • Proven ability to estimate work efforts for complex global initiatives, manage projects, deliver results, and meet deadlines by using good time management skills.

  • Proactive, self-motivated with the ability to motivate others and a customer-focused attitude.

  • Proven project management track record in delivering global projects from inception thought to completion.

  • Security certifications such as CISA, CISSP, CISM, CRISC

  • Independent thinking, willingness to "step outside the box" and take reasonable, calculated risks.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills

WORK ENVIRONMENT

No strenuous physical activity, though occasional light lifting of files and related materials is required. 30% of time in meetings, working with team, or talking on the phone, 70% of the time at the desk on computer, doing analytical work. Minimal travel required. Travel includes airplane, automobile travel and overnight hotel.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Typically, 40% of time in meetings; 60% of time at the desk on computer/doing paperwork/ on phone, doing analytical work. Walking, standing, and sitting for long periods of time are routine to accomplish tasks in this role.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distance vision and the ability to adjust focus. Ability to travel on short term notice.

Salary Transparency

The salary range for this position takes into account a wide range of factors including education, experience, knowledge, skills, geography, and abilities of the candidate, in addition to internal equity and alignment with market data. At QuidelOrtho, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The salary range for this position is $130,000 to $190,000 and is bonus eligible. QuidelOrtho offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, along with a 401(k) plan, employee assistance program, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, paid time off (including sick time), and paid Holidays. All benefits are non-contractual, and QuidelOrtho may amend, terminate, or enhance the benefits provided, as it deems appropriate.
