Overview of Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and passionate Test Automation Engineer to develop new automation solutions for our manufacturing process. This role requires a strong technical background in automation and control systems and will be able to work effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure that the development and release process of the automated equipment is in a standardized format, efficient, and meets or exceeds the manufacturing requirements.

Your Key Responsibilities



  • Design and implement cost effective automation methods for new and existing production processes.
  • Develop and maintain standardized automation tools.
  • Assist with standardized automation strategies and architectures for our software platform.
  • Insure proper release of documentation into the business system.
  • Develop and execute tester Verification, Validation plans/reports.
  • Develop budget and manage capital projects for equipment.



Required Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, and five years minimum demonstrated experience.
  • Demonstrated computer skills (MS Office, ability to install and run various software applications, Windows XP, Window 7 experience).
  • Software: LabVIEW (8 to 10 years preferred), C#.
  • Ability to design and build complex machines to eliminate/reduce human interaction.
  • Knowledge and proficiency in machine controls technology.
  • Knowledge and proficiency in design, build and debug of complex electrical systems.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team-based environment.



Additional success factors



  • Version control tools (Github).
  • Software: CVI, Python, PLC, others.
  • Proficiency with database technology (e.g. Oracle, SQL)
  • Previous experience with hardware/software automation.
  • Leadership qualities.
  • Project Management skills.
