Main Duties & Responsibilities
The
Maintenance Technician is responsible for repairing and maintaining
production machinery and equipment including molding machines, punch presses,
and automated assemblers. Under minimum supervision must be able to
troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on production equipment and
various building systems. Application of electrical, mechanical, and
electronic theories and the skills to test, modify, maintain and repair
equipment and processes as needed is necessary in this role.
Primary Duties and
Responsibilities:
Support production operations for all maintenance requirements, including hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic systems as scheduled for molding machines, punch presses and automated assemblers.
Troubleshoot and maintain all plant equipment through the application of sound troubleshooting techniques and efficient repair methodology.
Ability to adapt and improve issues with assembly processes.
Ability to mechanically fabricate chutes and fixtures.
Familiarity with vibratory feeder bowls and conveyers.
Experienced on CAM driven continuous motion, high speed, automation equipment.
Knowledgeable in PLC programming and electric wiring with the ability to make PLC changes on Mitsubishi and Delta controllers.
Work from available drawing and equipment specifications and schematics.
Perform preventive, predictive and routine inspection maintenance.
Source purchased components and replacement tooling from approved vendors.
Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rule and regulations.
Represent and promote Rieke in the community in a positive and professional manner.
Document
equipment history through appropriate systems with training.
Communicate with the production shift personnel, Maintenance Manager on the current shift and off shifts. Communication to include, but not be limited to the shift status on issues and performance for all machines.
Immediately report
any unsafe or unhealthy working condition to your supervisor/leadership
Qualifications
Qualifications and
Skills:
2-year Technical Degree
Electrical
safety and Arc Flash.
Quality
fabrication techniques.
Effective
communication and documentation.
Computer-
Excel, CMMS
Ability to
read hydraulic and electrical schematics and ladder logic.
Able to
read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical diagrams including
complex automated system drawings.
Mechanical
setup experience of tight tolerance tooling.
Proper use
of power tools and measuring equipment- must have and maintain all hand
and test tools required to maintain automated equipment.
Computer
proficient- Microsoft Windows based computer operation.
Must be
able to work overtime as needed, sometimes on short notice or on weekends.
