Overview The Business Development Representative is responsible for managing strategic business accounts, cultivating new business and strengthening partnerships with existing clients. This role sells a suite of services to defined inside and outside sales accounts and prospects. Identifies sales opportunities and follows up to demonstrate and implement products and services as appropriate. Develops business sales strategies and implements strategies to increase client growth in the assigned territory. Develops and tracks sales metrics to demonstrate targeted growth. Will be the primary relationship owner and single point of contact for assigned clients. Major Responsibilities
Minimum Job Requirements Education Bachelor's degree in Health Administration, Marketing, Communications, or other health related field Work Experience Minimum one year of previous experience in business development, marketing or sales in a health-related field required Knowledge / Skills / Abilities Experience working on a sales quota and demonstrated ability to exceed sales quotas required. General business acumen and understanding of how profitable organizations operate required. Excellent computer skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate with a variety of audiences verbally, telephonically and electronically required. Experience and ability to prioritize multiple tasks appropriately. Ability to provide exceptional support to Atrium Health vision and direction. Resourceful and organized, with an ability to handle tight deadlines with grace. Flexible and supportive of others in the department and company. Goal-oriented with ability to meet department objectives. Team-oriented and ability to work effectively across functional areas of the company. Ability to coordinate, track and efficiently organize multiple tasks/projects. Ability to work independently with minimal to moderate supervision. Knowledge of typical office computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office) and Customer Relationship Management applications is a must. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Performs work under normal office conditions; may include sitting for long periods of time, standing, walking, using repetitive wrist/arm motion or lifting items up to twenty-five pounds. Must be able to drive to call on prospective clients on frequent day trips and occasional overnight travel, depending on territories assigned. Requires frequent verbal and written communication in English. Preferred Job Requirements Experience Three years of experience in physician relations, marketing, or sales in a health-related or pharmaceutical field preferred. Knowledge / Skills / Abilities Familiarity with sales in Northwest Georgia demonstrated by successful position in candidate's work experience |
