POSITION SUMMARY:



  • The Inventory Control Supervisor reports to the Warehouse Manager
  • Located in Lewisville, TX
  • Full-Time
  • In Office



The Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of inventory management. This critical role involves leading a team, conducting regular inventory audits, implementing best practices, and ensuring accurate stock levels. The Inventory Control Supervisor plays a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity of inventory records, contributing to the efficient operation of the warehouse, and supporting the needs of the construction and foodservice sectors.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Inventory Management Leadership:

    • Lead the inventory control team and provide guidance to junior associates.
    • Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure stock levels align with company standards.


  • Best Practices Implementation:

    • Implement and enforce best practices for inventory control, warehouse operations, and record-keeping.


  • Cycle Counting and Yearly Inventory:

    • Oversee the planning and execution of weekly cycle counts and the yearly physical inventory process.
    • Analyze audit results and drive continuous improvement in inventory accuracy.


  • Complex Issue Resolution:

    • Investigate and resolve complex issues related to sales orders, purchase orders, and inventory discrepancies.
    • Collaborate closely with warehouse management and Customer Service Representatives (CSR) to address issues.


  • Freight Claims Management:

    • Lead the handling of freight claims, ensuring timely and precise resolution using online company portals.
    • Streamline the process to minimize disruptions in operations.


  • Inventory Adjustments:

    • Supervise inventory adjustments in the Navision system and maintain comprehensive records.
    • Provide guidance to junior associates in this area.


  • RMA and Returned Products:

    • Oversee the efficient processing of Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) and returned products.
    • Ensure adherence to best practices and accurate documentation.


  • Team Leadership and Development:

    • Mentor and guide junior associates, fostering a culture of growth and continuous improvement.
    • Conduct regular training sessions to enhance the team's skills and efficiency.

  • Strong commitment to safety protocols, including the use of appropriate safety equipment, ensuring a safe working environment.



QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:



  • 5 - 6 years of experience in inventory control and distribution center management, or equivalent Military or practical experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in computer skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience with automated warehouse management systems including RF devices.
  • Team management and leadership experience.
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check post offer acceptance.

The range provided represents the national average pay range for this position and is considered to be a general guideline. Pay for this position will reflect the candidate's unique qualifications and may be higher or lower than the range provided based on employee geographic location. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other local, state, and federal law.

In addition to base salary, this role will be eligible for participation in TriMark's' benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, 401K (with employer match), etc. Leadership positions may also qualify for participation in bonus programs commensurate with role and scope of responsibility.
