Senior Director, Strategic Sourcing and Contracts - Components & Accessories

POSITION OVERVIEW The Component Repair Services (CRS) division is focused on the maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) of commercial and military engine components and accessories. The Senior Director, Strategic Sourcing and Contracts will oversee the contracting ecosystem at CRS, leading the contracting team and collaborating with stakeholders in Sales, Operations, Finance, Customer Programs, IT and Legal to ensure consistency in business practices. This applies to both suppliers and customers of CRS and the Sr Director is responsible for negotiatingindustry leading agreements. This role will be responsible for the implementation of long-term partner agreements, and financial analysis of these partner relationships. The position is responsible for maximizing long-term margins enabled by these strategic relationships. The Sr Director will have ownership of all USG contracts for CRS and will develop a strategy for our ongoing partnership with this customer. Additionally, this position will be responsible for overseeing and improving the supply chain operations of CRS. The successful candidate will possess a high degree of commercial and financial acumen, an entrepreneurial spirit, change management experience, a collaborative and compelling leadership style, a strong bias for action and a solid background with demonstrated results in operational excellence. The position reports to the VP, Commercial Operations. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES - Directs the commercial strategy of CRS contracts. - Collaborates with legal team and other stakeholders to ensure the preparation of proposals, negotiation processes, and contract administration follow company policies, adhere to legal requirements, and support the organization's long-term strategy. - Oversees the negotiation and administration of the organization's contracts. - Evaluating sourcing procedures and presenting improvement strategies to CRS SLT. - Maintaining strategic sourcing relationships and developing strong partnerships. - Estimating risks and applying risk minimizing techniques, as well as negotiating contracts that comply with industry regulations. - Develop and implement strategies with key partners to drive long term margin improvement for StandardAero. - Apply company standard Program Management tools and supporting processes to assess market opportunities, build credible business cases, and influence future offerings. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Law or related field and/or equivalent experience. - 15 years' experience in Operations, Business Development, Strategy or Supply Chain roles. - Demonstrated business acumen, the ability to generate business cases and to execute financial plans. - Experience dealing with OEMs/Suppliers and relationship building - Strong demonstrated contract negotiation skills. - Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and an eye for detail. - Strong knowledge of StandardAero products, processes, and customer requirements Some travel may be required ements Some travel may be required |
