The University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine is seeking applications for a Research Assistant Professor faculty appointment, appointment stream, with the

Department of Surgery, General/Vascular Surgery Research Division. The successful candidate will contribute to the mission of the Trauma and Transfusion Medicine Research Center and pursue lines of scientific inquiry related to hemostasis, blood product and transfusion science, trauma and other bleeding etiologies, and thromboinflammation and will be responsible for leading and carrying out funded research in the Dr. Matthew Neal and Dr. Susan Shea labs, as well as lead independent research directions and pursue their own extramural funding. Salary and benefits will be highly competitive. The University of Pittsburgh offers an exciting research community that ranks in the top 10% of NIH-funded institutions. Candidates should possess a PhD degree in biomedical engineering or related field.
