Join us as our new Key Account Manager, Plant Health Biocontrol, North America!

In this role, you will be part of the sales team of Plant Health working with customers and partners across North America. You will actively manage key accounts in the biocontrol space, being responsible for developing and maintaining solid customer relationships, and drive multi-layer sales relationships within accounts and throughout the industry chain. You will execute business plans to achieve sales and other strategic objectives for the region. Your customer focus will be North America, however you will interact closely with other Novonesis functions (e.g. marketing, R&D and technical service) globally.

Travel for both internal and external meetings should be expected at +50-60%

In this role you'll make an impact by:

  • Managing regional and global channels and drive the implementation of existing and new technologies through these partners

  • Building strong relationships with channels and engage them in biologicals by being very close to the market and support them both commercially and technically to succeed in Novonesis goals

  • Execute and drive the implementation of the biocontrol strategy across North America

  • Drive sales and profit results through effective target settings, sales forecasting, budgeting and marketing campaigns

  • Identify and maximize cross-functional opportunities in the Ag Value Chain

  • Lead business development activities in the region with potential partners for existing as well as pipeline products.

To succeed you must hold:

  • 10+ years of relevant industry experience in sales and/or technical sales role in agriculture

  • Minimum of a BS/MS degree in business or scientific field. Agronomy degree preferred

  • Experience working with & enabling success with channels, and solid technical knowledge in Ag is a plus

  • Thrives in a matrix organization with strong informal leadership

  • Solid strategic thinking, negotiation, planning and analytical skills

  • Deep understanding of North America pesticide/biopesticide industry, market and products

  • Strong drive, positive mindset, high ability to learn, problem solving, goal-oriented and teamwork orientation

  • Excellent computer skills, including but not limited to only Microsoft Office products

  • Excellent communication skills, including formal presentation skills

  • Knowledge of biological and chemical crop protection products, row and specialty crops, and associated marketplace conditions

Location:
Regional site near Raleigh, NC or may be remote with regular travel to the site near Raleigh

Expected salary range: $120,000 - $135,000
