STS Technical Services is hiring a mid-level Electronics Technician to support the development of prototype and concept vehicles with a focus on vehicle electrification, autonomous systems, and unmanned platforms. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in wire harness assembly, IPC 620 certification, and a passion for precision and innovation. Key Responsibilities

  • Build wiring harnesses from start to finish following engineering schematics, pin schedules, and loom drawings.
  • Adhere to IPC 620C standards for wire harness assembly.
  • Perform quality assurance checks on various lab work products.
  • Install electrical components on vehicles and assist in troubleshooting electrical systems.
  • Operate typical electronics tools such as voltmeters, power supplies, soldering irons, and hand tools.
  • Apply military or motorsports industry wiring loom build techniques and components.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety standards.
  • Provide feedback on product needs and processes.
  • Assist engineers with electrical system diagnostics and repairs.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Participate in ongoing training and education.
  • Support tasks related to process improvements and product development.
  • Utilize MS Office tools for documentation and reporting.
  • Collaborate effectively as part of a team to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

Required:



  • High school diploma.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical component builds, testing, and repair.
  • Attention to detail, dependability, and reliability.

Preferred:



  • IPC 620 certification.
  • Experience with military or motorsports wiring harnesses.
  • Knowledge of basic electrical concepts including voltage, resistance, and amperage.
  • Familiarity with automotive systems such as steering, brakes, powertrain, and lighting.

Key Skills

  • Ability to interpret schematics, diagrams, and pin schedules.
  • Experience with electronics tools like oscilloscopes, voltmeters, and soldering equipment.
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
