Description

Salary range is $60k to $140k, with a midpoint of $95k. New hires typically receive between minimum and midpoint, however, we may go slightly higher based on experience, internal equity and market.

This is a term-limited position with an anticipated duration of 2 years.

GENERAL PURPOSE:

The position will perform data and business analysis in partnership with ERP/EAMS business stakeholders and the Data and Information Systems team in IT. Provide analytical expertise and support the analysis of the data in the systems in scope for the ERP/EAMS Program. Serve as an analytical resource to the ERP/EAMS data preparation and remediation project. This position will coordinate and work across the Agency at all levels and will need to exercise independent judgment, initiative and decision-making, and uphold Agency values.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform data mapping to support data migration and data conformance evaluation
  • Develop data definition/dictionaries with SMEs
  • Evaluate data quality against agency data quality metrics
  • Develop data standards through partnering with data governance program
  • Communicate to business on the remediation plan needed and develop plans to support next steps work on data remediation
  • Develop reference data and taxonomies
  • Provide feedback on data remediation recommendations
  • Extract and organize data for analysis and trending and compares ERP/EAM Program needs and requirements
  • Ensure data quality and compliance with applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Champions and models Sound Transit's core values and demonstrates values-based behaviors in everyday interactions across the agency.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Library Science, Information Management, Business Administration, Operations Management or closely related field and four years of experience in information management, data management or data governance; Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Knowledge and Skills:



  • Data governance practices, business and technology issues related to data management.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications and services (Excel, SharePoint, Teams, etc).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels and understandably present complex information.
  • Experience with change management and facilitating the adoption of new systems, tools, and processes.
  • Experience with data cleansing, transforming, and preparing data for analysis.
  • Attention to detail and follow-through on small and large tasks.
  • Strong relationship management and interpersonal skills, especially working with a variety of people.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other agency staff, management, vendors, and outside agencies.

  • Work is performed in a hybrid office environment.
