Activity Director-Skilled Nursing Certified

In this role, theDirector, Activitieswill:

• Works within the Life Connect philosophy established by CL to encourage residents as they seek ways to connect with "life-giving" activities both on and off campus.
• Be responsible for the activity program for skilled nursing residents.
• Plan and arrange activities which involve small and large group participation and are designed to promote interpersonal relationships.
• Develop effective utilization of community resources, including classes through adult Ed, community groups, guest speakers, musical performances and off campus trips.
• Interpret and communicate to residents, staff and the community the purpose and achievements of the skilled nursing activities program.
• Use appropriate promotional materials for the activities program.
• Develop, implement and maintain written policies and procedures regarding the activities department functions.
• Develop and is accountable for the annual budget for the residential activities department.
• Involve residents in the planning and implementation of events.
• Responsible for integrating all new residents into the life and program ofthe campus.
• Arrange transportation to activity events for residents to community and theatrical events.
• Plan and arrange refreshments and decorations for events.
• Maintain equipment used for activity functions.
• Keep dining service, facilities management and Administration apprised of resident activities that require services from these departments through written and verbal communication.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Certified Activity Director
• Knowledge in evaluating resident needs.
• One year experience in conducting group activities, as well as, experience in supervising volunteers.
