CDL Trainee

Alaska Waste, a Waste Connections company, is looking for a CDL Trainee to join our team in Soldotna, AK. We will train you and help you get your Class B CDL for free!

The schedule will be Monday - Friday, 7:00am to 3:00pm. Pay will be $23.00 per hour to start. Once you get your Class B CDL, you will get a raise to $26.00 per hour, and your schedule will change to what the schedule is for the route you choose.

This is a labor-intensive position requiring regular heavy lifting. Ability to weld is huge.

We are looking for laborers who are interested in starting a driving career and grow, within the company.

Responsibilities Include:

• Cleaning equipment with pressure washer
• Picking up litter
• General site cleanup
• Container Assembly
• Welding tasks could be assigned.
• Buffing, and painting dumpsters.
• Other assigned laborer duties

Requirements:

• At least 2 years of work experience. Preferably in a labor/operator type position.
• Ability to safely use a pressure washer.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions throughout entire shift.
• Clean driving record
• Valid Class D drivers license.
