Responsibilities

Under general supervision of the Practice manager, coordinates the personnel and the daily operations of the Health Center facility. Orients and trains new staff, tracks and reports operational activity. Should be able to understand and follow instructions on department policies and procedures. Be able to develop a working knowledge of medical staff credentialing process as well as assisting with medical staff meeting preparations. Assist the Supervisor(s) and Coordinator(s) in meeting the day-to-day needs of the Medical Staff Office. Key working relationships are Medical Staff, Hospital Management, department staff, patients, visitors and vendors.


Qualifications

Education and Work Experience
    Associate Degree in medical office management or related field.
  1. Equivalent level of knowledge and experience required.
  2. Three to five years of supervisory experience in medical office management.
  3. Good verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  4. Third party reimbursement knowledge preferred.
  5. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
  6. Customer service oriented
