Position Summary

The School of Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Department has a great opportunity for dedicated graduate and upper level students with an engineering background. The Mechanical Engineering Department is currently seeking graders for the Spring 2025 courses.

Graders work closely with faculty and are responsible for:

  • Grading weekly homework assignments, projects, and quizzes.
  • Assisting in grading exams as directed by the instructor.
  • Maintaining a gradebook for the course as directed by the instructor.
  • Holding weekly office hours as directed by the instructor.
  • Answering student questions regarding assignments.
  • Other job related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications
  • Successfully completed with a grade of B or better the
    course that the grader will be grading for.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the principles, methods,
    and procedures for assigning grades to mathematical and/or engineering
    problems.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Flexible Schedule
  • Dependable
