RESPONSIBILITY:



  • Manage the entirety of the property from the front desk with the assistance of the Security Officer to collectively ensure smooth operations throughout the overnight shift.
  • Process reservations, greet and assist guests and any inquiries during the night.
  • Responsible for spearheading any guest requests, complaints, and emergencies in a professional manner.
  • Perform nightly audit of the hotel's financial transactions, including room charges, restaurant bills, and other guest expenditures. Input into the front office system revenue/expenses/allowances to generate the daily reports such as the Guest Ledger Summary and the Daily Restaurant Summary.
  • Reconcile and balance daily accounts, including cash, credit card, and room charges.
  • Generate and distribute daily reports, such as the daily financial summary and room occupancy report. Balance all revenue and settlement accounts nightly, maintain files and reset the system for next day operations.
  • Reconciliation of third-party bookings and reservations
  • Perform nightly security checks and report any unusual activity or safety concerns to management.
  • Run and distributes audit reports/journals from the front office system, POS and the computer.
  • Make corrections and adjustments and handle all computer problems that might occur throughout the shift.
  • Prepare and submit accurate audit summaries and reports to the management team.
  • Maintain the security and confidentiality of guest information.
  • Monitor the security of the hotel, ensuring all entrances are secure via the Security Officer
  • Respond to and manage emergency situations, such as fire alarms or medical incidents, following hotel protocols.
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
  • Provide information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions as requested.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction by maintaining a courteous and efficient service.
  • Perform any other job related duties as assigned.


ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:



  • At least twenty-one 21 years of age.
  • Reliable and punctual attendance.
  • Bi-lingual oral, speech, and writing skills in English and Spanish or other language is an asset in this position but not required
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Computer Experience: proficient Microsoft Office programs, Outlook, and ideally Stay In Touch and Opera
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to convey messages clearly and compose correspondence with correct and proper grammar.
  • Strong presentation skills; convey messages clearly and confidently; persuade and effect change positively.
  • Excellent time-management skills; prioritizing and completing assigned job tasks effectively.
  • Capable of working effectively independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong logistics skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively and efficiently meet deadlines and produce work in a timely manner.
  • Ability to elicit and accept constructive feedback.
