DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Human Services Program Representative 1, you will provide guidance and administrative support to public and private social service agencies that assist children and youth. You will evaluate services, analyze data, and implement departmental policies. This will include reviewing allegations of child abuse, determining the status of allegations, and negotiating implementation of recommendations. This role requires good communication skills and attention to detail to make presentations to agency directors, county commissioners, and governing boards; to investigate circumstances of child fatalities and near fatalities; and to maintain program compliance with departmental policy, as well as state and federal requirements.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, working 1 day per week in the office. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Philadelphia.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Three years of professional experience developing, implementing, or evaluating a human service program, and a bachelor's degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements:
