In this role, you will report to the Site Services Supervisor and will work closely with the Avantor's Lab and Production Services team of over 1,500 on- and off-site expert personnel - and our customers - to perform customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science. Location: New England, MA region; supporting customer locations in Cambridge and Waltham. Schedule: Mon - Fri, 7 am - 5:30 pm; somewhat flexible; No overnight travel required; 8-hour shift Hourly Range: $25 - $28 Sign on Bonus: $1,000 Benefits:

What we're looking for
- Education: High school diploma or GED
- Experience: 1+ years of customer service and inventory handling experience; 6+ months of lab or scientific experience
- Collaboration Tool: Microsoft Office Suite with strong Excel skills required.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Covid-19 vaccination
- Strong communication both written and verbal
- Flexible and forward-thinking, motivated, reliable, and enthusiastic about work
- Conform to all company and customer requirements for background check, health and safety issues, and security clearances
- Previous experience working in a GMP facility is a plus
How you will thrive and create an impact: Avantor's Lab and Production Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support. In this role you will:
- Work will be performed in lab environments.
- Handling maintenance for lab equipment; trackingmaintenance schedules for the different lab equipment's and physically meet providing those maintenance to the lab equipment's themselves.
- Facilitates orders for consumable lab inventory replenishment.
- Manages customer's point of use or stockroom inventory.
- Document all change requests and adhere to all EH&S safety procedures.
- Responsible for logistical activities such as shipping and receiving of materials through coordination with 3rd party couriers.
- Inspect incoming materials for visible damage, note and receive, or note and reject as needed.
- Properly prepare, package, and provide documentation with outgoing shipments (training others as needed).
- Handle and manage chemicals including hazardous materials, bio waste disposal, and glassware washing.
- Basic order entry and follow-up on existing backorders.
- Work with site contacts to identify and make recommendations for operational improvements.
- Updating and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Will require traveling between customer sites.
- Other duties as assigned.
