INVISTA Victoria, TX is currently seeking a HVAC Chiller Technician to join the team.

Our Team

This role works closely with the Operations, Maintenance, and Reliability groups in troubleshooting, planning repairs and upgrades to Industrial HVAC, Refrigeration and Chiller Systems. You will be expected to create value, drive transformation, and enable stable and reliable operation through effective planning, and prioritization.

What You Will Do
* Maintain and enhance HVAC equipment performance and reliability to the highest industry standards
* Scope work and asses the requirements for routine, annual planned and unplanned outages.
* Use SAP to manage work orders, facilitate material/services for Maintenance work and determine the need for non-stock material or external vendor services.
* Work with vendors to obtain competitive estimates for material pricing and on-site services.
* Optimize and improve PM strategies.
* Create, update, and maintain equipment PM Plans, BOM's, Task Lists, etc. in SAP.
* Leverage industry-leading technologies and best practices to remove barriers and constraints within the work process.
* Provide On call support as needed on Nights, weekends, and holidays.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
* 3 or more years of commercial HVAC experience.
* 2 or more years' experience in industrial building comfort chillers, process chillers and industrial HVAC equipment.
* Have a current EPA approved 40 CFR Part 82 Subpart F certification card.
* Be able to read and understand drawings and schematics.
* Basic Microsoft Office Suite skills.

What Will Put You Ahead
* 5 or more years' experience working on chilled water systems, commercial/industrial and refrigeration equipment.
* Proficient SAP skills such as changing work orders, planning work orders, generating requisitions for ordering the material and requisitions for offsite contractor services.
* Knowledge of HVAC control systems (DDS, Bacnet and Johnson FX control systems).
* Technical School Degree or Certification.

Physical Requirements
* Work a 4/10 schedule. The work schedule is subject to change with notification, depending on business needs. Additionally, must be available to work scheduled (Planned) or unscheduled (unplanned/short-notice hours on nights and/or weekends, holidays as needed), to meet business needs.
* Wear any or all of the following PPE: safety glasses, hearing protection, goggles, hard hats, FRC, gloves, safety boots, respirators, and ACR Flash suits. PPE use is in accordance with the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) for a given task.
* Perform basic mechanical tasks as needed such as pulling/installing a valve and making up flanges.
* Lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
* Work in hot, cold, and inclement climate conditions.
* Work in confined spaces in congested areas.
* Climb stairs, ladders, and ladders associated with scaffolds.

This role is subject to a pre-hire physical abilities test

This role is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.

This role is subject to the Transportation Workers Identification Credentialing (TWIC) rule and requires the successful candidate to obtain a TWIC identification badge, allowing for unescorted access to the facility within a specific time period.
