We are Systems, LLCa leading manufacturer and designer of loading dock equipment. Wecontinue to GROW and are seeking a motivated team player to join our organization.

This is a role within Systems' Engineering group. A successful incumbent is expected to (i) Create and revise advanced models and assemblies using 3D CAD software; update production drawings in response to engineering design changes and other continuous improvement initiatives including new product development, and (ii) Utilize and update data within the company's enterprise resource program (ERP) to process complex special customer orders/ETOs and release work orders and special drawings to manufacturing. Requires 4+ years of experience with 3D CAD modeling and a minimum of a Associate Degree in Mechanical Design or related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create and revise advanced models and assemblies using 3D CAD software; update production drawings in response to engineering design changes and other continuous improvement initiatives including new product development

  • Utilize and update data within the company's enterprise resource program (ERP) to process complex special customer orders/ETOs and release work orders and special drawings to manufacturing

  • Develop an advanced understanding of engineering work flows to support production and other departments

  • Develop an advanced understanding of company products, including appropriate uses, general designs, manufacturing processes, and acceptable design modifications

  • Create complex engineering change notices (ECNs), distribute for approval, and process as required

  • Create and revise advanced sales/submittal drawings as needed to satisfy customer requests

  • Create, distribute, and update drawing binders, work instructions, quality alerts, and safety alerts to production as needed

  • Work independently and collaboratively to implement design and process improvement projects while regularly tracking and reporting progress

  • Mentor and assist in the training of entry level drafters or designers

  • Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams.

  • Protect Chamberlain Group's and Systems' reputation by keeping information confidential.

  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.

  • Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed.

Job Requirements:

  • Associate Degree in Mechanical Design or related field, or equivalent professional experience

  • 4+ years of experience with 3D CAD modeling

  • Working knowledge of CAD, 2D and 3D

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office

  • Able to travel up to 5% of the time domestically (job site travel, etc.)

  • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering

  • Preferred: Experience in a metal fabrication environment

  • Preferred: Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor or similar 3D modeling software

  • Preferred: General knowledge of ERP/MRP software is beneficial
