Job Purpose

Responsible to decide specifications and confirm requirements using Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE). This engineer is to prepare & perform automotive crash safety related simulations to support vehicle developments & research.

Key Accountabilities

  • Decide action plan and utilize CAE tools to execute analysis for assigned specification setting and requirement confirmation activities.
  • Collaborate with test and part design engineers and project chiefs to optimize specifications for performance, cost, and weight.
  • Create documentation for specification and confirmation results and explain to direct supervisor.
  • Collaborate with and mentor other CAE Engineers for efficient and accurate joint CAE analysis.
  • Test requirements when necessary.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

  • Bachelor's of Science (Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or other related field) or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 5 years of engineering experience required
  • Experience with LS-DYNA, ANSA, Meta-Post, CATIA, Linux OS
  • Must be familiar with & have experience in preparing automotive crash safety related simulations

Working Conditions

  • Hybrid
  • Mostly desk work with some laboratory work
  • Travel is <5%
