Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop ocular health formulation such as emulsions, polymeric solutions.

  • Characterize formulation by measuring pH, Osmo, Viscosity, droplet size and other physical properties

  • Evaluate formulation for evaporation resistance and other performance measuring procedure

  • Analyze data and present to the team on weekly basis

  • Comply with the requirements of the internship program

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited university or college for at least one semester prior to the internship, and at least one additional semester following your internship

  • Must have a graduation date of December 2025 or later

  • Must be pursuing a PhD in Colloid Chemistry, Biomaterials, Lipid Based Formulations and Delivery, or Pharmaceutical Science

  • Academic performance: Minimum cumulative GPA 2.8/4.0

  • Demonstrated leadership skills (i.e. extracurricular activities or projects)

  • Must be authorized to work in the US on a permanent basis. Students on an F1 visa with CPT work authorization may be accommodated

  • Ability to commit to a 10-12 weeks summer internship, full time (40 hrs./week) project

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with emulsion delivery system, nanoemulsion fabrication and processing and sound understanding of lipid chemistry preferred.

  • Candidates with an advanced degree in colloid chemistry, lipid chemistry, chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences or related chemistry field will be given preference."

  • Able to work independently and collaborate as part of a team
