University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine The Division of Child Neurology within the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine seeks pediatric neuroscience candidates for an Assistant or Associate Professor position on the tenure track. Candidates carrying out basic science and/or translational research in areas related to pediatric cerebrovascular diseases using genetic and genomic approaches are preferred. Applicants must have an MD, Ph.D., or MD-PhD degree. Compensation will be commensurate with rank and experience. Assistant Professors have 1-6 years of experience with demonstrated academic progress/contributions in their pediatric specialty; Associate Professors have 7-10 years of experience with significant demonstrated academic progress/contributions in their pediatric specialty. Teaching responsibilities may include Ph.D.-level graduate students, post-doctoral Ph.D. fellows, and M.D. fellows. The Division of Child Neurology (https://www.pediatrics.pitt.edu/divisions/neurology-and-child-development-unit) has a robust clinical and research program that includes laboratory space in the Rangos Research Building on the Children's Hospital Campus and full access to the research computing facilities available at the University of Pittsburgh. The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Pittsburgh ranks among the top 10 free-standing children's hospitals in total and NIH- sponsored research funding.
