Responsibilities & Qualifications

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Apply the fundamental principles of civil engineering to Rail + Transit projects.

  • Perform engineering calculations and analysis for the design of civil improvement plans.

  • Prepare plans, specifications and estimates in accordance with applicable design codes and agency design criteria

  • Coordinate design elements with all disciplines including Architects, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Structural and Landscape, and others as-needed.

  • Other assignments as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.

  • EIT/FE preferred and the ability to obtain PE license within 2 years of starting.

  • 0-4 years of related experience

  • Good leadership and organization skills, a self-starter;

  • Detail oriented.

  • Interest or experience in roadway, utility, site development, and rail design is desirable.

  • Interest or experience in rail design required.

  • Experience in Microstation and/or AutoCAD preferred.

  • Requires excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and interpersonal skills.

  • Client focused, always striving to give clients the best solutions.

  • Strong commitment to innovation by creating new and better ways to solve clients' toughest challenges.

  • High levels of integrity, always doing the right thing in an ethical, fair, and sustainable way.

  • Demonstrated experience of collaboration in a diverse and inclusive team, working together toward technical excellence.

  • Participation in professional associations is preferred (i.e. AREMA, APTA, ASCE, WTS, etc.)

Additional Information

TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of$56,000 - $102,000 annually for this position and local market. We recognize that each candidate brings a unique set of skills, experience, education and competencies to the table that will be reflected in our offer.
