Position Summary:

Hours: Monday - Friday; 11 am - 7:30 pm

The Warehouse Lead's is primary responsibility support the Fulfillment Manager by overseeing and leading in the shipping, receiving, picking, packing, moving, storing of Warehouse inventory. This individual may be responsible for records, selected reports, or serve as lead over one or more assigned areas of the Warehouse. You must have the ability to problem-solving skills, comply with all relevant safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures.

To ensure your success you need the ability to follow instructions and operate a forklift or other material handling equipment.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for leading the day-to-day activities of production personnel.

  • Motivates the team and ensures that work is assigned and openly communicates with team members.

  • Delegates tasks and removes obstacles and addresses or escalates issues. This includes:

    • Scheduling for picking

    • Scheduling for packing

    • Communicating priorities for shifts

    • Ordering supplies

  • Enforce department safety guidelines and company Policy, working with department to address/resolve any disciplinary issues.

  • Supporting Inbound scheduling

  • Cycle count confirmation and adjustments

  • Manages daily replenishment of prime zones

  • Supports maintenance of warehouse inventory distribution

  • Leads production area daily team meetings.

  • Cross Functional - Trained in all areas of Distribution

  • Ensure department equipment is maintained and proper shutdown procedures are followed

  • Communicates with contacts both within and outside of function; sometimes has responsibility communicating to parties outside of the organization

  • Performing 5S audits and implementing improvements. May lead Kaizen events.

  • Reviewing production workload and shifting personnel accordingly.

  • Proactively coordinate customer service to ensure delivery commitments are met.

  • Responsible for tracking department "line level" metrics (Safety, Quality, Throughput).

  • Processes continuous dock flow including container, cross dock, LTL shipments, returns and stocking.

  • Uses a RF scanner to enter records and record data.

  • Marks materials with identifying information.

  • Drives forklift (reach truck, Order Picker, Turret Truck, Sit Down) to Pick/Pack and transport items.

  • Prepares parcels for shipping. Stage Pallets.

  • Performs cycle counts

  • Loads and unloads vehicles.

Required Education / Experience / Skills:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Minimum of 2 year experience driver Forklift

  • Minimum 3 years work experience in a production or warehouse environment

  • Superior Communication Skills

  • Team Oriented; Coach

  • Attention to Detail

  • Strong Math Skills (Add, Subtract, Multiply, Divide, Fractions, Decimals)

  • Ability to work with limited Supervision

  • Ability to lift 50lbs.

Language: English (Spanish/English) a plus

Work Environment/Physical Requirements:

This position is done in a Warehouse environment typically indoors but may require access to outdoors for work at times. This position requires the ability to drive a forklift: Reach Truck, Order Picker and/or Turret Truck. This position requires the ability to work at heights of 25 feet or more secured by a harness. The position requires a person to be able to frequently walk, stand, bend and twist; see, hear and talk; use fingers and hands, handle or feel controls or product; use hands and arms to reach, hold and carry product. Frequently lifting/moving up to 35 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs. is required. This position also requires a person to handle different temperatures as the Warehouse is hot in the summer and cooler in the winter.
