What It's Like

Work with senior engineers to manage and analyze issues of cellular devices including mobile phones and home internet gateways. Reproduce issues in a lab environment to assist in device issue investigations. Verify fixes in new software through testing.

What You'll Do

The candidate will work some time in a lab environment to setup test cases with RF chambers and automation software. The candidate may also work with Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and have an opportunity to do data analysis to identify device performance trends and issues. The candidate will also get exposure to device manufacturers and other parts of the T-Mobile technology team.

Key Responsibilities

• Hands on configuration of devices for logging and updating software.

• RF Chamber setup and configuration.

• Scripting of automation software to modify test scenarios.

• Learn to utilize network tools to analyze device and network interactions.

What It Takes

• Electrical Engineering or Computer Science degree majors preferred

• Knowledge of Six Sigma methodology is a plus

• Ability to understand mobile networking protocols for voice and data services.

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age

• Legally authorized to work in the United States

• Must have graduated within the last 12-months, OR be actively enrolled in a Bachelors or Graduate degree program

• Employees of T-Mobile or Metro by T-Mobile are ineligible for Internships

Employer does not sponsor work visas for this position. Note that this also applies to individuals who are students in F-1 status who desire sponsorship after they complete their education.

Relocation assistance may be provided to program participants who reside more than 50 miles from the internship location.

Intern wages range from $20/hour to $40/hour. The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on experience/location.
