Position Summary: We are seeking an English-Spanish bilingual candidate to join our team at the Department of Pediatrics at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. Our group, based in Manhattan, delivers and studies parenting programs designed to improve child development outcomes in under resourced populations (led by PI Alan Mendelsohn, MD; www.playreadvip.org). The candidate will be responsible for research/project tasks and will work with a multidisciplinary team of pediatricians, psychologists, and others. Research takes place in Manhattan and with our collaborating institution MARC Academy in Bronx, NY. Job Responsibilities: PlayReadVIP Delivery:

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in child development, child life, infancy, special education, family processes, maternal and child health, public health, or related field (Master's degree strongly preferred). At least 1 year previous supervisory experience preferred, in a health-care, education, research, administrative, client support, or retail setting. At least 2 to 3 years working with young children and parents, and a strong background in early child development. A commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion; previous experience (professional, educational, or lived) related to children and parents with diversity in race, ethnicity, culture, language, socioeconomic status, education levels, gender, sexual orientation, and/or other characteristics preferred. Previous experience with training, teaching, mentoring; previous experience with data documentation. Fluency in spoken and written Spanish is strongly preferred. Candidates will be based primarily in Manhattan with some flexibility for hybrid, but will be expected to regularly travel to other local sites in the Bronx. Occasional travel required to locations outside of NYC will also be required. Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization. NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $62,400.00 - $65,700.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
