Symetra has an exciting new opportunity to join us as an Unqork Systems Analyst!

About the role
The Systems Analyst will be responsible for the development, optimization, maintenance and support of a set of critical business applications across a portfolio of products for the Swift Platform Team. This individual, working under general supervision as an individual contributor, will be encouraged to partner with product and engineering members to compile, synthesize, produce technical specifications, and configure UI/UX and workflow automation solutions for processes or systems in the Swift Platform ecosystem. This individual will work effectively with business and technical subject matter experts, developers, other systems analysts, quality assurance analysts and third party vendors ensuring that deliverables are met.

What you will do



  • Translate user requirements, write technical specifications, and work closely with product and engineering resources on use cases, process mapping, flowcharts, and technical design.
  • Apply appropriate application development tools (Unqork Platform, API-related tools, etc.) and methodologies (including unit testing).
  • Provide day to day production support, including solving of issues. Analyzes and revises existing system logic.
  • Participate in design walkthroughs. Assist QA with functional test planning, and as required, execution to ensure success. Assists in post implementation support and system improvements.

Compensation
Salary Range: $75,300 - $125,600 plus eligibility for annual bonus program.


Your experience and skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be accepted.
  • Minimum of 2 to 4 years of Information Technology experience with 2+ years focus on systems analysis and design.
  • Accountability and ownership of your work and actions. Adaptability, including dealing effectively with ambiguity.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as a member on a large, multi-functional team.
  • Experience with Agile, especially Scrum, development methodologies.
  • Experience with solutions design and development of software requirements, including Unqork platform (workflow and UI/UX configuration, module creation, business rules), data integration methods (APIs, web services).
  • Knowledge of workflow and process modeling.
  • Experience with computing tools such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SQL, Project and Visio.
  • Highschool diploma required
