- Strategy Development:Design and deliver impactful occupational health and safety strategies that prioritize injury prevention and promote employee wellness.
- Program Evaluation:Conduct detailed effectiveness reviews of existing health and safety programs, making data-driven adjustments to strengthen alignment with organizational safety and wellness goals.
- Research & Analysis:Stay current on best practices and regulatory requirements in occupational health, leveraging insights to refine and elevate program effectiveness.

Minimum Requirements
Occupational Health and Safety Consultant | Health Services
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Health Education, Environmental Health & Safety or related field,
- AND four (4) years related experience developing and implementing occupational health and safety, injury prevention programs and initiatives in an occupational setting
- OR related certification (i.e., Certified Wellness Practitioner (CWP), etc.)
- AND six (6) years related experience. Working knowledge of project management, planning, ability to develop and implement Health and Wellness program initiatives, strong written, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in program implementation and project management.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Power Point and Excel.
Major Accountabilities
1) Plans, develops, coordinates and evaluates a comprehensive employee program focused on wellness, and directed toward reducing risks and improving health status.
(e.g. Weight Management, Ergonomics, etc.)
2) Implement programs to create awareness of factors that impact/affect health and longevity, encouraging employees to take increased responsibility in their health fitness, performance and wellness. Conduct effectiveness reviews as needed for QA/QC purposes. (e.g. Vimocity, Heat/Hydration Awareness)
3) Develop effective, creative and targeted strategies to educate, train and communicate preventive measures to cross organizational and operational personnel.
4) Develop and present business case(s) for program initiatives, metrics and measures supporting health risk prevention efforts.
5) Compile industry and peer statistical data to support recommendations and program development.
6) Collaborate with company business units involving issues related to health, safety, fitness, and wellness.
7) Implement effective change management communication and training related to all newly proposed programs and concepts.
8) Assists and supports cost and budgeting in relation with the fitness, wellness and performance programs and concepts.
9) Conduct audits and reviews of existing or newly implemented workplace injury prevention programs and make recommendations to management for any necessary changes or process improvements.
10) Provide data, plan and critically think through long-term planning for overall Employee Health, Performance and Wellness Program across APS.
