What You'll Do:

Quote Job Prices. Assume responsibility for quoting price (material and cartage) on complex jobs based on tactical market intelligence and the division pricing strategy.

Provide Recommendations. Provide Sales group with key data, input, and recommendations for initial competitive analysis, pricing, and account allocation.

Develop Sales Metrics. Develop and maintain weekly and monthly metrics for the Sales Service Center.

Gather Market Intelligence. Collect, monitor, and distribute market intelligence to sales representatives. Provide additional market data and leads to sales group.

Focus on Future Growth. Focus on process improvements, gaining market share, and building the business. Assist in identifying growth opportunities.

Provide Support. Provide support to sales teams in other markets as necessary.

Additional Responsibilities. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Skills You'll Need:

Experience. 3-5 years experience in implementing pricing strategies and market analysis in construction materials or related industry preferred.

Interpersonal Skills. Must be an excellent motivator and team builder. Must be able to form strong interpersonal relationships and effectively communicate with both internal and external audiences.

Selling Skills. Must possess persuasive selling skills and knowledge.

Pricing Knowledge. Must be familiar with pricing and marketing principles and be able to support business planning efforts.

Technology Skills. Must display knowledge of and ability to use computer applications (Microsoft Office Suite, Gmail, etc.) and the most up to date sales systems (MOBILESales, APEX quote-to-cash, and Sales Analytics) to understand, measure, and capitalize on sales opportunities.

Product Knowledge. Must demonstrate applied knowledge of construction techniques and construction materials end uses.

Market Knowledge. Must demonstrate understanding of assigned markets, including Vulcan and competitor products, applications, specifications, capabilities, pricing strategies, logistics, and methods of shipment.
