Under direction, collect, analyze, and present data and insights related to supply chain, industry developments, dairy logistics operations, and competitive landscapes that provide actionable insights to help guide decision-making processes, opportunity for supply chain optimization, and strategic planning. Assist team members in providing support to internal groups (milk marketing, commercial divisions, communications, member service groups) through data insights, publication writing, and presentation development.

Job Duties and Responsibilities



  • Gain a quantifiable understanding of dairy supply chains, dairy market fundamentals, the business, etc.
  • Analyze logistics and member data and insights to identify trends, opportunities, and process improvement opportunities; assess the impact of these trends on the organization
  • Monitor and communicate real-time supply chain activity to team members or management
  • Develop relationships with internal staff and provide insight services as needed
  • Provide research and insight support on strategic projects connected to broader division or company initiatives
  • Build and maintain models, and create reports that summarize key findings and insights
  • Develop presentations for consistent message and present approved material to various audiences, including staff, members, customers, and industry-related individuals
  • Participate in training sessions, meetings, skill building, and professional development classes; share information and participate in process improvement discussions with other groups internally
  • Utilize data visualization and software tools to streamline data collection and analysis processes

Education and Experience



  • Undergraduate degree in supply chain, finance, marketing, economics, business administration, or related curriculum (or equivalent combination of education and practical work experience)
  • 0 to 2 years of supply chain, marketing, analytical, industry, or related experience
  • Certification and/or License - may be required during course of employment


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities



  • Knowledge of and skill with Microsoft Office Suite and company computer systems
  • Analytical skills with ability to think through fundamental scenarios and networks
  • Able to analyze, derive insights, and make recommendations from large amounts of data
  • Able to research, gather data, compile information, and create reports
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, and translate technical topics into easy to understand concepts
  • Able to effectively interact, collaborate, and coordinate with stakeholders
  • Able to multi-task, meet deadlines, and organize own work activities
  • Able to participate in various projects with sense of urgency
  • Able to seek appropriate input and guidance throughout a process and then make quick, fact-based decisions with confidence
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
