The Investigative Analyst serves as the primary interface for facility system inquiries including tracking and managing inmate inquiries, complaints and responses. This position also repairs or replaces broken telephone sets and provides a weekly update of phone system status, repairs made and any open items.

Essential Functions, Duties and Responsibilities

• Uses a County software program called "Spotlight" to track phone numbers that are called from the ITS on targeted inmates contacting minors and escort services from the jail.
• Listens to phone calls for targeted inmates only
• Monitors texting on targeted inmates only
• Provides phone calls and tracks movement of targeted inmates within the facility
• Travel to in town investigation offices
• Provides reports to investigations for court
• Subpoena responses and ability to testify in court about call data
• Bilingual (English and Spanish)

Works solely with the Investigation units - specifically:

• Gang Unit
• Tracing Unit (Sex Trafficking)
• Human Trafficking and Exploitation of Juveniles

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Customer service experience
• 3 or more years demonstrated skills in a high tech environment, emphasizing skills in computer hardware maintenance, software management, and networking
• Position can require overtime, non-standard schedules and evening or night shifts
