Technical Services Director What this job involves - The Building Performance Technical Services Director (TSD) is responsible for managing high-standard building performance and operational services across the portfolio. This includes overseeing Mechanical, Electrical, FLS, BMS, and 24/7 Operations Center services to ensure consistent, seamless, and efficient standards are met. Oversee a team of five to seven for director reports and organization of 150. Key Responsibilities: Operational/Technical Management: Daily onsite requirement with travel across a portfolio of over 200 buildings. Direct base building services, operations center, and MEP directors Maximize existing technology and digital building systems Ensure optimal asset performance and energy management Provide technical advice and guidance to clients Oversee and report on KPIs (monthly, quarterly, annual) Support engineering teams in operations and design assessment Manage shutdown request process Sustainability and Energy Efficiency: Align with client's sustainability strategy Support Net Zero Carbon goals Optimize energy efficiencies Provide compliance reporting Collaboration and Relationship Management: Work with IFM team and Built Environment team Manage supply partners Liaise with Labs Pillar team for integrated service delivery Technical Expertise: Maintain in-depth knowledge of industry standards and best practices Understand building design, operation, and usage Share knowledge with service partners, engineers, and occupiers Required Skills and Experience: Extensive knowledge of mechanical, electrical, BMS, and SMART building services Minimum 10 years' experience at technical engineering management level Engineering degree preferred Excellent problem-solving and communication skills Proficiency in report writing and contract management Understanding of statutory compliance and health and safety risk management Experience with Corrigo Technical Knowledge Areas: Heating, cooling, and ventilation systems HV and LV systems Lighting and power distribution Emergency power systems Control systems and BMS Domestic water and fire systems Energy management systems IoT and SMART applications Compliance with regulations and building codes This role is crucial for maintaining high-performance standards across JLL's managed properties while supporting clients' sustainability goals and ensuring occupant satisfaction.
