The Test and Repair Manager, reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, will be responsible for the strategic oversight of the Test and Repair department at our Germantown production facility. This role emphasizes fostering a high-performing team culture, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring that departmental goals align with the company's strategic objectives. The manager will play a critical role in enhancing communication across departments and improving operational efficiency. Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the Test and Repair department by setting clear strategic goals and objectives that align with overall company objectives.
- Ensure the daily completion of work objectives through issue resolution and effective prioritization of all the work cells
- Drive departmental changes and act as a leader in continuous improvement for the department to help increase safety, quality, and capacity in the department.
- Represent the Test and Repair department in cross-departmental meetings, ensuring visibility of departmental performance and fostering collaboration with other teams.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members, focusing on their professional development and career progression.
- Collaborate with the senior technical lead to ensure effective training programs are implemented, documented, and controlled to maintain high standards of workmanship.
- Drive change management initiatives, guiding the team through transitions and helping implement best practices across the organization.
- Coordinates with other supervisors and leads, Production Planning and Scheduling, Sales, and Engineering to accomplish factory acceptance testing and repair operations to the committed production schedule. Coordinates the activities of others outside their department when obstacles arise to ensure customer commitment dates are met.
- Identify and support continuous improvement projects that optimize safety, quality, delivery, and capacity (SQDC) metrics within the department.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with team members and other departments, fostering an environment of trust, accountability, and mutual respect.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements, promoting a culture of safety and excellence within the team.
- Supports Manufacturing Manager with back-up supervision of plant personnel as needed for vacation or other periods.
- Represents themselves professionally in all situations using effective listening, communication, and delegation.
- Monitor and analyze departmental performance metrics to identify trends, drive improvements, and report progress to upper management.
- Consults with the Manufacturing Manager on employee selection, reviewing employee performance, administering company policies, and recommending compensation adjustments.

- Supports Manufacturing Manager with back-up supervision of plant personnel as needed for vacation or other periods. Complies with all housekeeping, safety, and quality rules and any other relevant regulations.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Associate's degree and two years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A Bachelor's degree in a technical field is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in a production or manufacturing environment, demonstrating effective team management skills.
- Outgoing, collaborative, and highly motivated to do the right thing for their fellow employees and our customers.
- Proven ability to lead teams using clear and effective communication, with a focus on collaboration and continuous improvement and employee development.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a Supervisor, Test, or Manufacturing Engineer, particularly in the context of highly engineered products or systems.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing practices, standard work implementation, and continuous improvement methodologies such as 5S.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data to drive meaningful improvements and decision-making.
