Position Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Research Data Associate ECHO. Under the NIH-funded national study, Environmental Influences on Child Health Outcomes (ECHO), the team is following infants, young children, and their mothers to determine associations between environmental factors and conditions such as obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease and is looking to recruit radiation technologists interested in academic focus. The Research Data Associate - ECHO position will work to support research into the effects of early-life environmental exposures on children's health.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Explain and complete study consent forms with prospective study participants.
  • Collect information from the research participants as outlined in the study protocol.
  • Conduct detailed research questionnaires with mothers, in person and by phone.
  • Ensure participants' follow-up visits are completed in line with the study timeline/milestones.
  • Enter all collected data in accordance with the institutional and study guidelines.
  • Assist with study data analysis and record-keeping.
  • Abstract data for further analysis by the research team.
  • Participate as a dedicated and collaborative team member of a large research team.
  • Perform bone density testing when required.

Minimum Qualifications:

To qualify aBachelor's degree is preferred. New York State License to practice as a diagnostic radiologic technologist. Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Desire to work with mothers and young children. Spanish fluency desired, but not required.

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $51,243.96 - $75,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
