General Summary of Position:

The Manager of Project Management position will play a pivotal role in helping drive the strategic vision of the Project Management organization at Granite Telecommunications. This individual will lead a team of Project Managers in overseeing and ensuring the successful execution of client deployments. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of strong leadership, strategic thinking, and project management expertise to enhance our project delivery capabilities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Development:




    • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing Project Management team.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability.



Project Oversight:




    • Manage a diverse portfolio of projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and timely delivery.
    • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project success and drive accountability.



Process Improvement:




    • Develop, implement, and refine project management methodologies, tools, and templates to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Champion best practices in project management and promote a standardized approach across the organization.



Stakeholder Engagement:




    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and leadership to ensure project alignment with strategic objectives.
    • Facilitate regular project status meetings, providing transparent updates and addressing any concerns.



Resource Allocation & Risk Management:




    • Oversee resource allocation across projects, ensuring optimal utilization of talent and tools.
    • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact.



Reporting & Analysis:




    • Generate comprehensive reports and dashboards for senior leadership, highlighting project progress, risks, and resource needs.
    • Conduct post-project evaluations to capture lessons learned and integrate findings into future projects.



Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of project management experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of managing complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • PMP, Six Sigma, Agile certifications desired.
  • Telecommunications background preferred.
  • Experience with SD-WAN, DIA, Broadband, VOIP.
