Location Site: Salem Hospital, 890 Oak St. SE, Salem, OR 97301 Your role with us At Salem Health, our respiratory care clinical interns are essential contributors to the patient care team, gaining hands-on experience while supporting critical respiratory services for both inpatient and outpatient populations. Under supervision, interns perform therapeutic and diagnostic procedures aligned with department policies and standards, ensuring high-quality, efficient care. This role is designed for students currently enrolled in a COARC-accredited respiratory care program who are eager to apply their academic training in a real-world, fast-paced clinical environment. Interns are expected to maintain accurate and timely documentation, demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills, and work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team. With opportunities to engage in critical care and to grow through professional development and mentorship, this internship is an ideal launching point for those passionate about respiratory therapy.
