It's our passion. *Hybrid Position* Provides comprehensive communication and swallowing rehabilitative services to facilitate the patient's ability to recover and return to an independent living environment. Education: -Must meet the academic and clinical experience requirements of a Master's degree in Speech - Language Pathology from an accredited university. Experience - None For PCHP - Minimum of two (2) years of combined experience providing speech therapy services in healthcare, home health, inpatient, outpatient, and/or school setting required.
Certification/Licensure: Fellowship Only: Must have an intern license in Speech Language Pathology from the Texas State Board of Examiners in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology within 30 days of placement in job. Must have Must have a current Healthcare Provider CPR course completion card prior to hire and/or placement in job from one of the following:
OR Speech/Language pathologist Only: -Must be licensed by the Texas State Board of Examiners for Speech Language Pathology and Audiology. -Must hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) issued by the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA). -Must have Must have a current Healthcare Provider CPR course completion card prior to hire and/or placement in job from one of the following:
Skills or Special Abilities: - Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of pediatric and/or adult neurogenic language disorders, swallowing, aphasia, dysarthria, apraxia, voice disorders, alaryngeal communication, articulation and normal language development. - Must be able to communicate effectively with staff, patients and family members.
